Salvation Army Eliza Shirley Campus

TEND worked with the Salvation Army to design a new campus for their relocated City Command Headquarters and Red Shield Residence family housing program. The comprehensive master plan fulfills stormwater management and landscape zoning regulations for this five-acre site, while sensitively surrounding residential units, dining facilities and community rooms with a rejuvenated landscape of mature trees, new gardens and outdoor living areas, including play spaces. Aesthetics, comfort, and security were primary considerations. Recognizing the existing trees as a key defining feature of the property, TEND collaborated to complete an inventory and arboriculture assessment, which led to a tree care plan being executed in tandem with an interim landscape management plan. Once the master plan receives final approvals, full project documentation, construction phase services, and development of landscape management plans will follow.
