TEND landscape was retained to design context-sensitive improvements around the exterior and within a side yard for an historic structure turned residence. The design at the street edge around the house fa?ade accommodates existing trees and curb-side parking through a balance of planting and custom paving thoughtfully designed to enhance the home and the experience for passersby. The garden design offers a paved terrace for dining with a raised planter for growing edibles and is surrounded by a seasonally rich planting with a secluded sitting arbor for the family. The design is particularly attentive to materials and the Arts and Crafts detailing of the house.
